We are actively seeking a well rounded web designer with superior organizational and people skills. This position will focus primarily on website design, but will also include web project management. Websites that the successful candidate will work on range in size from a handful of pages for small businesses to large database-driven websites for prominent western Canadian institutions. This individual will play a critical role in our four-member dedicated web team working alongside 20 other design and communications professionals in our Calgary office.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graphic Design degree, diploma or work-equivalent
  • Excellent Web Design portfolio
  • Passionate for design and knowledgeable in multi-media production
  • Minimum five years of web design experience
  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
  • Knowledge of HTML coding, CSS, PHP, Flash, InDesign and PowerPoint will also be beneficial
  • Proven ability to lead projects, set timelines, maintain quality control and meet milestones
  • Knowledge of web development process and implementation
  • Ability to motivate and evoke creative thinking from team members
  • Ability to speak to clients (internal and external) in regards to web design and development strategy
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Demonstrate innovation and creativity
